Letters In Your Name Graph

We did this as a center activity.  Each student wrote his or her name one letter per square.  Then they glued them to the chart and counted how many letters.  We looked at who has the most. least, and the same.

Seasons of the Apple Tree

We painted the students' arm and hand brown and stamped it four times.  We used scrunched tissue paper for the spring apple blossoms.  Summer leaves were sponged on and apples are thumbprints.  Students ripped orange, red, and yellow construction paper for fall leaves.  Glitter made the snow.  After, we labeled each season and wrote My Apple Tree.

Brown Bear Alphabet Game and Popcorn Words

I made these alphabet cards for our Brown Bear unit.  Some students are still learning letter names while others are ready for initial sounds.  I stamped the back with a Stamping Up! set so I can use them for both groups.  I also cut some bears for our popcorn words.

Hello, I Am . . .

I got these name tags at Target in the Dollar Spot.  We had them up on a bulletin board at first.  When I took them down, I bound them into a book.

Name Match Up

Students match pictures to names.

Lap Top Names

Students can practice typing their name and their friends' names.

Chicka Chicka Boom Boom Trees

Students cut out the coconut trees and used foam letters to spell their names.

Our KinderGARDEN Goals

I was trying to figure out a way to post our goals and have a way to record students who have met them.   I was thinking of using cans, but all I could find was a watering can.  Then KinderGARDEN hit me.  When students meet a goal, I will write their name on a flower and post it on the watering can.

Every Birdy Welcome

This year I used Just Because Cards to cut out the birds so that I could have more room to write the names.

New Chicka Chicka Boom Boom Bulletin Board

This year I used Mickey Font to cut out each child's first initial in different colors.  They used glitter to decorate them.
